Chief executive Jerry Blackett opens the door to Birmingham and Solihull Chamber of Commerce and Industry:


The Chamber is about delivering great services to almost 3,500 members, expanding commercial services from which all businesses can benefit and ensuring the voice of local business is heard loud and clear.

Our membership offer is as substantial as it has ever been. Our members represent every sector such as the creative and professional/financial services sectors, as well as manufacturers who are re-inventing themselves to win in this global economy.

Today, a member can enjoy over 200 networking events and our range of business improvement services includes on-line diagnostic tools - they help businesses make savings and become more efficient - translations, datasearch, our Technology and Innovation and Marketing and Sales clubs and much more. This means real bottom-line improvements that pay for the membership investment many times over.

 
We are the UK’s No. 1 Chamber for the supply of international trading support and advice. We help more exporters than any other Chamber in the UK and are now selling the Chamber’s expertise in a number of countries.

Our excellence in improving the supply chain performance of the automotive sector is providing opportunities for us to source more European aid funds to help our businesses compete even harder in today’s world economy.

By keeping the Chamber at the forefront of international trading, we will ensure Chamber members are in pole position to take maximum advantage of the explosion in global business that lies at the heart of Birmingham and Solihull’s future.

The Chamber’s 48-strong elected council being organised into a sector-led policy-making body, with representation from all types of business in Birmingham and Solihull.

Sector ambassadors have been appointed to fly the flag for their areas of expertise and to ensure policy makers understand what is needed to help businesses flourish.
